As an actor, you are in a field full of talented and ambitious people who often compete for the very roles that you want. In order to be competitive as an actor, you need to demonstrate to casting agents, talent agents, and directors why they should pick you over the hundreds of other individuals applying for the same role. Fortunately, one way to stand out from the crowd is to include a well-crafted acting resume along with your headshot. This article will give two examples of acting resumes so that you can see how other actors highlight their acting expertise.

  • Directed two episodes each season since 2015

Responsibilities:

  • Portrayed Edward VII
  • Put on eight shows every week for two years, including three shows in a single day
  • Required to cry on cue
  • Co-starred with a diverse cast that included child actors and pets

Achievements:

  • Won the Tony Award for Featured Actor in a Play in 2010
  • During off-days, taught courses in acting and theatre at New York University

  • Performed Acting Coach duties for the younger cast members

Generally speaking, industry insiders in Hollywood do not want to work with the inexperienced. While there are new actors coming to Hollywood every day with big dreams, one way you can make your acting resume stand out is to emphasize any type of acting ability that you have. Even if you are inexperienced in professional acting, you can list any type of relevant acting experience to show that you are serious about your craft.
