Dear Mrs. Fawn,

It is with great pleasure that I am writing to express my interest in the open Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position you have available within your establishment. I am a graduate of Central Ohio Technical College, and hold the needed LPN license and Basic Life Support certification needed to practice medicine. With my strong educational background and over three years of experience as an LPN, I firmly believe that I would make a great addition to your team.

My current position with Central Ohio Urgent Care has been a wonderful opportunity for me, as it has allowed me to thrive in a field of work that I am truly passionate about. However, I am now seeking a place of employment that better fits my needs. During my time with Central Ohio Urgent Care, I was regularly tasked with greeting patients and taking vital signs such as blood pressure, weight, and temperature. I also tended to basic wounds, cleaned and bandaged injuries, and administer medication through injections.

I always strive to go above and beyond in my line of work, and, through the years, this has been reflected in my consistently successful ability to bring in more patients. One of my biggest achievements through Central Ohio Urgent Care was boosting our new patient quota by over 40% since I have started working there two years ago. My friendly and approachable nature, partnered with my vast understanding of treating injuries and illness, has aided in this growth.

Aside from my superior organizational and outstanding bedside manners, I am also a great communicator. As a problem solver, I have the ability to think on my feet and analyze many different situations to find the best and most effective treatment for an individual. In addition, I am a team player, and fully understand the value in collaborating with doctors and other specialists when it comes to helping others. You will find that I also possess strong computer skills, and have a firm grasp on general medical facility rules and regulations.

It is with great eagerness that I look forward to hearing back from you and having the chance to discuss my candidacy further in person. I have a genuine drive to help people, and I would love the opportunity to bring my positive spirit and motivation to you and your esteemed establishment. I thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Jessica Davis

Mrs. Victoria VonChutes
Youngstown Healthcare & Medicine
5002 Bridge Port Drive, Youngstown, Ohio, 32513

Dear Mrs. VonChutes,

When I saw that you had an opening for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) through Youngstown Healthcare & Medicine, I immediately jumped at the opportunity. I am a graduate of The Ohio State University of Nursing, and have earned my nursing license, as well as the needed certifications to practice. As a new graduate, I am eager to begin my journey in this field of work. Through several successful internships, I have honed my skills, developed my techniques, and gained the valuable experience needed to perform the duties of this job with great accuracy.

I served as an intern under Dr. Grace Bishop at Mercy Hospital and Wellness Center, and am very humbled by this experience. Training under such a prominent medical figure in the state of Ohio has allowed me to develop my professional and personal growth. My daily tasks under the supervision of Dr. Bishop were taking patient vital signs, managing IVs, prescribing and administering medication, and providing clear and accurate information to patients and their families.

I am proud to state that I ranked among the top 3% of my graduating class, and performed on a superior level when it came to certification and hands on performance exams. My critical thinking and problem solving skills allowed me to pass Dr. Bishop’s mystery diagnosis exam, and I must note that there has been a ten year span from the last time an intern was able to correctly solve her exam.

Being bi-lingual, and speaking both English and Spanish, gives me an upper edge when it comes to communicating. While I already have the ability to communicate well, I am also able to reach a wider demographic of people, and offer them a better understanding of their conditions and treatments. As you read through my resume, you will also find that I am an exceptional problem solver, and possess the ability to accurately and effectively diagnose illnesses and injuries, and administer the best treatment programs for them.

Overall, I welcome the opportunity to discuss my qualities and skills with you in person. I would gladly elaborate on any parts of my resume that you have further questions about. I thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you again.

Sincerely,
Andrew Matheson
